The rumours about Xbox 360 and PS3 successors are coming in thick and fast now. Microsoft has reportedly told third-party developers its next-generation Xbox will feature in-built Blu-ray and Kinect functionality, take steps to crack down on piracy with an always-on internet connection requirement, and be available in time for Christmas 2013. 
Meanwhile, Sony is apparently "confident" PlayStation 4 will release before Xbox 720, with reports claiming that key third party development partners are already working on games for the unannounced console, which players will be able to control using Vita's twin sticks and touch capabilities.
Elsewhere, we started giving away free beta keys for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Online, Capcom said it doesn't believe there's a distinction between content locked on a disc and DLC, and former Gamestation MD Martyn Gibbs was appointed as GAME's new CEO, shortly after the retailer's new owner, OpCapita, ruled out closing any more stores in the UK and Ireland, safeguarding the future of 333 outlets and 3,200 employees.
